MATERIAL TRACEABILITY SOFTWARE

Material traceability software for metal & CNC shops

From the purchase order to the offcut on the shelf, StowWorks keeps the chain unbroken — grade, size and heat tracked through intake, every cut and every process, with the mill cert pinned to the metal the whole way.

A quick look at StowWorks.

An unbroken chain — PO to part

Every piece of material is linked the moment it’s ordered. As it’s received, cut and processed, StowWorks carries its grade, size, heat and origin forward — so the chain is never broken and never depends on someone remembering.

  • Purchase order → intake → cut → process → finished part
  • Grade, size and heat number tracked at every step
  • Offcuts keep the cert of the bar they came from

Mill certs pinned to the heat

Drop the mill certificate (EN 10204 2.1 / 3.1 / 3.2) onto the heat once and it stays attached to every piece of that metal — and every part cut from it. No more digging through a binder or your mailbox when a customer asks.

When a client needs documentation, pull the cert for any piece in two clicks.

Reverse-trace any finished part

Start from a finished part and walk it backwards — to the exact bar, the heat, and the purchase order it came from. If a supplier flags a bad heat, you can find every part affected instead of guessing.

Why traceability pays off

Customers in aerospace, automotive, defence and medical increasingly demand documented material traceability. Getting it right wins those jobs; getting it wrong loses them — and turns an audit into a scramble.

StowWorks makes full traceability the by-product of how you already work, not a separate paperwork job.

Questions, answered.

Does it store mill certificates?

Yes. You attach the mill cert (EN 10204 2.1 / 3.1 / 3.2) to the heat, and StowWorks keeps it pinned to that metal and every piece cut from it.

Can I trace a finished part back to its heat?

Yes — reverse trace walks any finished part back to the exact bar, heat and purchase order it came from.

Do offcuts keep their certificate?

Yes. When you keep an offcut, it returns to stock as a labelled piece that still carries the heat and cert of the bar it was cut from.

Where is the traceability data stored?

On your own PC. Your material data and certs never leave your machine unless you choose to back them up.
