Privacy Policy

Effective 26 June 2026

1. Who we are

Salvun BV (enterprise number BE 0748.611.356, registered in Belgium) is the data controller for the limited personal data described below. Contact us at info@salvun.com.

2. Our principle: data minimisation by design

StowWorks is built so that your shop data stays with you. Your stock, tools, cut plans, customers, and material certificates are stored in storage you control (your own PC, and any backup you choose) — we do not receive or store it. We only process the small amount of personal data needed to run your account, licence, and billing. This is a deliberate choice: we don't want to own your business data, and we've built StowWorks so that we can't.

3. What we process, why, and our lawful basis

DataWhyLawful basis (GDPR Art. 6)
Account / identity (name, email) Send your licence key and service emails, provide support Performance of a contract (6(1)(b))
Licence key + device identifier Validate your subscription and enforce the per-licence device limit Contract (6(1)(b)) + our legitimate interest in preventing licence abuse (6(1)(f))
Billing data (handled by our Merchant of Record, Polar) Process payment, tax/VAT, and invoices Contract (6(1)(b)); Polar is the seller of record and a separate controller for payment data
Contact-form & support messages Answer your questions Contract / legitimate interest (6(1)(b)/(f))
Minimal website / server logs (IP, timestamp) Security and abuse prevention Legitimate interest (6(1)(f))

4. What we do NOT collect

We do not collect or store your shop business data (stock, tools, cut plans, customers, material certificates). It never leaves your PC unless you choose to back it up yourself. StowWorks runs fully offline after activation. Because your data lives with you and StowWorks runs offline, it keeps working even if our servers go away — and our Licence Agreement commits us to a free, licence-free build if we ever discontinue StowWorks.

5. Who we share with (processors / recipients)

We use a small set of providers, each acting under a data-processing agreement, and we do not sell personal data:

  • Polar — payments and Merchant of Record (billing, VAT, invoices, licence-key delivery).
  • Cloudflare — website hosting/CDN, our licence-validation endpoint (api.stowworks.com), and privacy-friendly, cookieless web analytics.
  • Web3Forms — delivers contact-form submissions to our inbox.

6. Are we your processor?

For your own shop data, which you keep on your PC, we are not your processor — you are its sole controller and we never access it.

7. Retention

We keep account/licence data for the life of your account and up to 24 months after closure (for legal, accounting, and anti-abuse purposes), then delete or anonymise it. Billing records are retained as required by Belgian law (typically 7 years), largely by Polar.

8. International transfers

Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses, and prefer EU-region hosting where available.

9. Your rights (GDPR)

You may access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these, contact info@salvun.com; we respond within one month.

10. Complaints

You can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority — Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données (APD/GBA), Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels — or your local EU supervisory authority.

11. Security

We use encryption in transit and scoped access to minimise exposure. No system is perfectly secure; keeping your own data local further reduces your exposure to us.

12. Children

StowWorks is a professional tool, not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

13. Changes & contact

We will post updates here with a new effective date. Questions: info@salvun.com.
